Padua, February 6, 2020 – MeteRSit, the SIT Group company which designs, manufactures and distributes innovative gas meters, has been UNI EN ISO/IEC 17025 certified by Accredia, the Italian Government designated Certification Body.
The certification covers the calibration of gas volume and flow meters at the Padua metrological laboratory, recognising its quality, integrity and precision. It also allows MeteRSit to provide legally-approved certification services to third parties and competitors, undertaking also outside laboratory analysis.
“There are only three laboratories in all of Italy which perform meter calibration certification both in terms of volume and gas flow and being numbered among these is a source of great pride” stated Federico De’ Stefani, Chairman and CEO of SIT. “This recognition follows a mainly internal quality drive, as the accredited MeteRSit laboratory is independent from the Research & Development activities. We can expand the business to offer SIT services to third parties, highlighting the quality of our processes, our instrumentation and above all of our know-how”.
