The solution integrates Panasonic motors and SIT fans. The world premiere on March 13 at 5:30PM at SIT’s booth in FieraMilano
Padua, March 6, 2024 – SIT, a multinational listed on the Euronext Milan segment of the Italian Stock Exchange that creates intelligent solutions for climate control and consumption measurement, will be attending “MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort” from March 12 to 15 at the pavilions in Rho Fieramilano. For the occasion, SIT booth will host the presentation of the new fan for residential heat pumps developed by SIT in synergy with Panasonic Industry, a leading company in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) technology. The presentation follows the announcement of the collaboration between the two companies by a few months (please find here the announcement press release).
For SIT, the presentation at MCE ExpoComfort represents a debut in a new sector, that of residential heat pumps. A challenge which SIT is ready to undertake thanks to its tradition and 70 years of experience in the heating and climate control sector. The collaboration combines the quality and reliability of Panasonic Industry’s Japanese-designed motors with SIT’s advanced experience in fluid-dynamics and electric-motor control electronics to develop a complete fan solution specifically designed for residential heat pumps. The new application will be available in different configurations to adapt to the specific needs of each heat pump manufacturer, to guarantee the best performance, minimum noise, and compatibility with all refrigerant gases, including R290.
Market distribution of the integrated motor-fan system will be carried out by SIT. The product will be available from the beginning of 2025.
Federico de’ Stefani, Chairman and CEO of SIT: “We have chosen to undertake this challenge aware of our strong roots in the sector, consolidated expertise in the Heating and climate control fields and our “state of the art” Research & Development department. Our unique know-how has allowed us over the years to create products that represent market benchmarks regarding the management of fluid dynamics. Thanks to this partnership we can take a further significant step in the transition of our products towards sustainable electrical devices, a complementary area to our core business“.
Gerhard Scharf, Division Director at Panasonic Industry, expresses enthusiasm, stating, “Our partnership with SIT signifies a shared commitment to deliver sustainable and cutting-edge solutions. This collaboration provides a synthesis of Panasonic Industry’s motor and SIT’s optimized impeller and grid, which meets the evolving demands of European heat pump manufacturers. Low energy consumption, minimal noise, and ultimately optimal performance are the benefits of this solution.”
SIT will be present at MCE Expocomfort at booth E21-E29, Hall 1. The press is invited to the presentation of the fan, which will be held on March 13 at 5:30PM.
